Nona Richardson, who has spent the past five years as associate athletics director and senior woman administrator at Ball State University, will leave next month to take an athletic administration post at the University of California-Davis. After losing the first two games to No. 9 Pacific University Saturday, coach Joel Walton had one message to the No. 15 Ball State University men's volleyball team during the intermission: He was embarrassed. The message was well received as Ball State (12-9) came back to defeat Pacific (14-11) in five games (27-30, 20-30, 30-23, 30-24, 15-13) and won the Don Shondell/Active Ankle Challenge.

The Ball State University men's tennis team kicked off its Mid-American Conference season with a 5-2 victory over the University at Buffalo. Coach Bill Richards said the trip to Buffalo, N.Y. can be very draining, but the team still played well. "We just took care of business one match at a time," Richards said.

Two Ball State University students will have 500 seconds to present a business plan in the back of the limousine today as it drives around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. If their presentation for the Nascent 500 Business Plan Challenge is successful, the students could win $10,000.
Muncie residents will have the opportunity to view the Wabash River from 100 different angles in all four seasons March 24 through June 24 at Minnetrista. Local artists David Dale and Jim Faulkner traveled more than 500 miles during a span of 15 years to capture the Wabash River in order to complete the display.
