Four days after Dante Love's best statistical game of the 2007 season, Ball State University's leading receiver finally built the courage to walk up to coach Brady Hoke and apologize. Though Love had caught 10 passes for 214 yards and a touchdown against the University of Nebraska, it was the one play he didn't make - a dropped pass in the last minute of the game that would've resulted in a late go-ahead touchdown - that Love had been thinking about.

Ball State University released its crime statistics and annual report to the public Thursday. David Fried, director of students right and community standards, said students can access the report at the Web site bsu.edu/sa/srcs/securityreport. Fried said the report has two purposes: to help the university decide where it needs to make security improvements and to inform students, faculty and staff about crimes in the area and services available to them.
