The widely-used electronic resource Blackboard underwent a face-lift this summer with Release 7.1 debuting prior to the beginning of classes. Ball State University's Zeta Beta Tau fraternity is starting the school year suspended for having a party last weekend with underage drinking. Men's tennis coach Bill Richards said Tuesday junior Joe Vallee will most likely miss the Cardinals' entire fall season because of a broken bone in his foot. Richards said Vallee hurt the foot playing tennis during the summer but initially thought it was a sprained ankle before going to the doctor.

Head volleyball coach Dave Boos has zeroed in on who will start as his libero to open Ball State University's women's volleyball season. After moving from linebacker to the defensive line in his junior season, Ball State University defensive end Cortlan Booker experienced immediate success lining up in a three-point stance.
