The Ball State University women's volleyball team lost two matches this weekend and in the process tied a school record. Having lost its last seven matches the Cardinals tied the school's longest losing streak and are now off to their worst start, 1-7, in the program's 35-year history.

Ball State University's Miller College of Business will have an orientation event for accounting majors. Cindy Van Alst, chairwoman for the department of accounting, said about 65 students registered to attend the event. Students needed to sign up ahead of time to attend, she said.
Though Ball State's women's basketball team finished the 2006-07 season with its highest winning percentage in program history, the team wasn't invited to the NCAA Tournament largely due to its weak non-conference schedule.
