A move long overdue, the foundation that manages $235 million of Ball State University's money appointed a chief investment officer. Thomas Heck, the man appointed, has been doing this job in addition to others since the 1980s but is now able to devote more time to the money management portion of his job.

With three weeks left of school, I am sure the majority of Ball State University students are ready for summer break. Whether you will be hitting the beach, sleeping in, relaxing with your high school friends or working full-time, I suggest making the best of the three months we have off.
Coming into the weekend undefeated in conference play, the Ball State University men's tennis team's was planning on carrying its momentum to a first-place spot in the Mid-American Conference tournament. Instead, with its one loss to rival No. 71 Western Michigan University, the team has to fight for the second spot to the tournament on April 26.

Delta Zeta sorority, along with the help of some gelatin, brought in more than $5,000 for charity with its annual Turtle Tugs philanthropy Sunday. Sarah Russell, philanthropy chairwoman for Delta Zeta, said the event was a success despite the poor weather.
