Ball State University student Ryan Ehresman said he found the passion in his life from getting a thrill out of making people laugh. "With acting you hide behind a character. With stand-up comedy it's just you and the routine you wrote," he said. Ball State football player Kyle Hoke, nephew of coach Brady Hoke, was arrested for driving while intoxicated Aug. 30, according to Delaware County jail officials. Hoke was booked at the Delaware County jail at 3:30 a.m. and released at 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 30, according to jail officials.

A recent news release by the Indiana Department of Education revealed that the SAT scores for the class of 2008 remained flat in comparison to scores nationwide and in Indiana last year. Indiana's average scores on the college entrance exam showed a one-point gain in math (508), a two-point drop in writing (481), and a one-point drop in reading (496) making the combined average score 1485.
