The planetarium, located in the Cooper Physical Science Building, has benefited 60,000 Ball State students, 200,000 elementary and middle school students and more than 100,000 residents from the community since its installation in 1967. In four decades, though, some of the facility's equipment has become outdated, according to planetarium Director Ronald Kaitchuck.
Two players from the 2008 Ball State University football team will participate in the 2009 NFL Scouting Combine this week in Indianapolis. The combine is similar to a job fair for players entering the year's NFL Draft, which will take place April 25 and 26.

Ball State University had the most chemistry students graduate with an American Chemical Society accreditation in Indiana, according to the society's latest report. A press release issued Feb. 10 said 44 students graduated with this accreditation in the 2006-07 school year, which was the most recent report.

Members of Ball State men's basketball from 1960 through 2008 will attend the reunion weekend, Ball State announced today.
Student Government Association's nomination convention is expected to run smoothly, Elections Chair Marco Pretell-Vazquez said. The Elections Board met Friday to address any last minute issues before the convention, he said. The board made sure it was unbiased and able to contact each other should a problem arise.
