Several of the 79 bills recently signed into legislation pertained to education, and one of them led to a discussion to create more databases in the open source INSPIRE.



"Infectious global groove" comes to Muncie

 Whenever the Ragbirds are asked to describe the sound of their music, the band always has the same answer: "infectious global groove." The Ann Arbor, Mich.-based band mixes folk rock and world fusion to create an energetic live show. The Ragbirds will be playing at Doc's Music Hall tonight, and they don't have to do much to prepare.



Rinker Center to show documentary on poverty

As the second event of the the week of action, the Rinker Center for International Programs is showing the documentary "What are we doing here?" at 6 p.m. in the Yuhas room, at the L.A. Pittenger Student Center.

FROM THE HOOD: Alternative Spring Break gives new perspective

I'm a 21-year-old senior who spent his Spring Break sleeping on a Federal Emergency Management Agency cot in an elementary school and was not allowed to drink a single drop of alcohol. While this may seem unappealing to many of you, and was to me at first, it was one of the most life-changing experiences I've ever had.


Rain or shine, Muncie Gras returns

 Muncie Gras will go on – rain or shine. After the event was postponed last month due to bad weather, Muncie's answer to Mardi Gras will take place Saturday night. Despite the late start, this year's Muncie Gras will still feature the usual live music performances, disc jockey dance parties, light shows, costume contests and plenty of alcohol.
