'Daughters of Trinity' remembers women of the war

The play "Daughters of Trinity: The Women of the Manhattan Project" will be performed this week after months of collaboration between the faculty and students of the Ball State University theater department, and it features a handful of women playing parts that are historically accurate to the real Manhattan Project that took place in Los Alamos, N.M.

Happy Friday Guy returns to spread weekly cheer

 He is one of the greatest mysteries of Ball State University's culture. He is the "campus experience." He is Happy Friday Guy III. Happy Friday Guy III made his debut appearance last month to revitalize the weekly tradition. Many consider him a campus celebrity, but Happy Friday III said he doesn't like the spotlight to be placed solely on him. As his name suggests, Happy Friday Guy comes out on Fridays between noon and 3 p.m., traveling around campus for three hours to pass out candy and greet students.

The University Singers prepare for showcase

 As the band begins to play, sequin-clad performers enter the stage dancing and singing, filling the auditorium with energy. At 7:30 p.m. in John R. Emens Auditorium, the University Singers will perform the first of two showings of the 46th annual "Spectacular," a concert symbolizing the culmination of all of the work the group has put in this past year. "Spectacular" will be different from the group's other shows. Not only is it longer, but it is also a variety show. Along with the large group numbers, it contains band features, a tap number, a cappella numbers and solos.
