SOFTBALL: Ball State grinds out home win over Eastern Michigan

A two-out, two-RBI single from Kristy Stratton, who was making just her third start of the season, was all the offense ace Elizabeth Milian needed as Ball State defeated Eastern Michigan 3-1 on Saturday at the BSU Softball Complex.


BASEBALL: Ball State's offense explodes in series victory

Ball State defeated Bowling Green State University 32-10 Saturday but lost the series finale Sunday. Despite a 9-3 loss that cost the Cardinals (13-17, 7-2) their second conference sweep in as many weekends, they were happy with their results.


MEN'S TENNIS: Ball State knocks off 3-time defending MAC Champs Western Michigan

The story of the MAC regular season for Ball State so far has been the balance of play throughout the lineup. Last week freshman Alexandre Brym stepped up to win the last match and this week was no different. Both Andres Monroy and Cliff Morrison were coming off losses last week, but picked up the slack today when the team needed it.



TRACK: Cardinals tie for third at Miami Invitational

Junior Thekla Lorenz had another outstanding performance for Ball State, accounting for 22 points in individual events. Lorenz won the long jump event, posting a length of 5.73 meters. She also finished second in the javelin throw with a toss of 38.51 meters and fifth in the 100 meter hurdles (14.88 seconds).

With the end of Greek Week's Greek-elodeon Get Your Slime On a day away, the Greek Week Steering Committee is holding a daring event, challenging participants to their limits. 



BASEBALL: Ball State sets records in 32-10 win at Bowling Green

Ball State defeated Bowling Green State University 32-10, setting the school record for most runs, hits (29) and at bats (58) in a game. The previous runs record was 31, which the Cardinals (13-16, 7-1) had done twice, most recently in 2006.


MEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Cardinals sweep away Tornado

Ball State moves to 16-9 and stays at 6-4 in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association. Ball State closes out its non-conference schedule tonight in Worthen Arena versus Saint Francis University.


9th Chili challenge a success

Phi Delta Theta fraternity members Alec Brenneman, Jeff Doran and Joe Spear took home the award for "Best Greek Chili" on Friday at the 9th annual Cardinal Chili Challenge.
