University Singers hit high notes

Sophomore music performance major Brad Kieper has always wanted to sing onstage. At the annual University Singers Cabaret concert Friday in Sursa Hall, he sang the opening solo, 'You Raise Me Up' by Josh Groban, as director Alan Alder accompanied him on piano.

A new standard for Ball State University students in the School of Nursing requires students to buy new technology for clinical components. The School of Nursing made the purchase of an iPod Touch or an iPhone mandatory this past fall after using Windows-based smartphones in the past, Brandon Campbell, lead technology services specialist for the School of Nursing, said.


Students happy about return of Blue Loop

Students sat huddled in the cold waiting for the bus to arrive at one of the nine stops along the Blue Loop bus route at Ball State University. The Blue Loop, which runs until Spring Break, has been in service for four years and charters students that live in nearby neighborhoods off campus in order to keep them out of the cold.
