As libero Billy Ebel watched the Ohio State celebrate its MIVA championship in May after sweeping Ball State, he said then the better did not win. Nine months later, that thought on the better team has not changed — even as the unranked Cardinals prepared for their match against the conference preseason favorite No. 14 Buckeyes at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Worthen Arena.



SOCCER: Ball State picks UT Martin's Craig Roberts as new coach

Roberts led UT Martin to a combined record of 34-27-12 in four seasons. In the past three seasons, the Skyhawks were 19-3-1 on their home field. In his most recent season, UT Martin went 9-7-0 and won its first Ohio Valley Conference championship in program history.
