After traveling the world and observing poverty, author and journalist Sheryl WuDunn, said Monday it is important to help find solutions to reoccurring problems.The first Asian-American Pulitzer Prize winner spoke at Pruis Hall.Among other stories, she focused on people being a solution to the problems they see by volunteering.WuDunn said a nine-year-old, Rachel Beckwood, gave all of her birthday money to Charity Water in order to help build wells in Africa.

FIELD HOCKEY: Cardinals drop 6th straight match

The Ball State field hockey team lost 4-3 in a shootout against the Saint Louis Billikens in the second game of their weekend home stand.This game marks the sixth straight loss for Ball State bringing their overall record to 3-6.

FOOTBALL: Waiting game proves difficult for some

Ball State football players sprawled out on the visiting locker room floor in Toledo. Some sat, some stood, all tried to relax, but there was nothing they could do about their bodies and minds being ready for a game.It wasn’t that the game hadn’t started, 14 plays had already been run, and over five minutes had ticked off the clock.
