MUNCIE, Ind.- This past weekend, Washington Street had its annual street festival featuring vendors selling food and crafts. The Old Washington Street Festival takes in the old and embraces the new. This festival highlights the beautiful homes on the street and gives tours to anyone interested.
The coordinator of the event, Kim Miller, recognizes the importance of the event.
“Bring people downtown and into a historic neighborhood,” Miller said. “The community can give back to them, and we can give back to the community.”
The Old Washington Street Festival has an upcoming event on Sept. 20. The festival always embraces new vendors and more guests to the event.
“Anything we sell to clients gets 60% of the profits, and 40% goes back into the program,” said Melissa Cross.
