According to a decision made early Saturday morning through official communication channels, Ball State is officially moving commencement indoors to Worthen Arena.
The main ceremony will still take place at 10 a.m. May 3. College Ceremonies will continue at indoor locations as well.
- 12:30 p.m. – R. Wayne Estopinal College of Architecture and Planning at Emens Auditorium
- 12:30 p.m. – Miller College of Business and College of Communication, Information, and Media at Worthen Arena
- 4 p.m. – College of Fine Arts at Emens Auditorium
- 4 p.m. – College of Sciences and Humanities at Worthen Arena
- 7:30 p.m. – College of Health and Teachers College at Worthen Arena
Undergraduate and master's students will enter Worthen Arena through Lower Level Gate One by the ticket office for the 10 a.m. main ceremony. Graduates will go directly to the arena floor to be seated by staff, according to the weather plan page for commencement at Ball State. Doctoral and specialists in education degree candidates will also enter through lower level Gate One, but must find their designated seats instead. Both groups should arrive and be seated before 9:45 a.m.

Guests can enter Worthen Arena through Gates Two, Three, and Four and Upper Level Gate 1. An accessible entrance is located at Lower Level Gate One. Gates open at 9 a.m.
Faculty can enter Worthen Arena through Lower Level Gate One by the ticket office. Go directly to the arena floor where a section will be reserved for faculty. Please be in your seats by 9:45 a.m.
Gates open at 9 a.m. for all groups.

The decision follows uncertain and rainy weather this week and a previous statement that decisions would be made on the morning of commencement.
