Second Harvest Food Bank hosted a special Thanksgiving tailgate event at the Muncie Mall Nov. 21. Volunteers placed food in the trunks of those who need it for the upcoming holiday.
The line of cars waiting to get their food wrapped around the Mall parking lot, with volunteers working nonstop to ensure fast, efficient deliveries.
Second Harvest is based in East Central Indiana, and serves eight different counties according to their website. Last year, they provided over 7,016,000 meals.
The next tailgate event held by Second Harvest will be Thursday, December 14th at 10am at the Muncie Mall.
After a break for the holidays, the event will resume its normal schedule of every second and fourth Thursday of the month starting January 11th at 10am.
