Tracking a showery end to the week and chilly homecoming

Tonight: Finally, some clearing skies! Other than the night being a chilly one (get that warm jacket out the door), tonight actually looks pretty nice for stargazing! Also of note will be a southerly wind; that will help keep us from being too cold & set the stage for warming weather tomorrow.

Tomorrow: Refreshingly clearer and warmer, but also kite-flying weather! Those southerly breezes will freshen up as the day progresses. This and some increasing high & mid-level clouds will be the herald of another system that spells some chilly and showery weather out for us the day ahead.

7-day Forecast: We will be needing the umbrella as well as a raincoat with warmer clothing as widespread showers reach our area through the day Thursday. The heaviest showers affect us in the afternoon and evening, then showery conditions might hang around into the first half of our Friday - something to watch for those Bed Races on Riverside Drive if those do not clear by noon. Another shower chance might literally rain on our parade for Homecoming Day as well as some renewed breezy, spritzy "football weather" that might give Central Michigan (as well as all fans on that day) a chilly reception (football pun intended).
