Senator Raphael Warnock won the Senate seat in Georgia against Herschel Walker, maintaining his previous position in the Senate, the Associated Press said Tuesday evening.
He won with around 50.6 percent of the votes, AP said. This will create a 51-49 Senate majority for the Democrats.
AP said this was a runoff election due to Warnock not getting the 50 percent of votes threshold in November.
