Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Delaware County August 29

According to the National Weather Service and The Weather Channel, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued to Delaware County until 8 p.m. August 29. With a high of 89 degrees fahrenheit and a low of 68 degrees fahrenheit during this time period, thunderstorms are expected to hit the area beginning around 5 p.m., with a chance of showers after 8 p.m., once the Severe Thunderstorm Watch ends. Wind gusts are at an expected high of 20 miles per hour (mph), while wind is likely to stay around seven to 10 mph.

That said, there is another chance of thunderstorms from approximately 3 a.m. to 8 a.m. August 30. In total, rainfall amounts are expected to be a half inch to three quarters of an inch by 8 a.m. August 30.
