Cold dip in temperatures, wintry mix on thursday

Tonight: Quite the temperature contrast from what we saw earlier in the day as we will reach a low of 26 degrees. Rain will clear out of the area, leaving behind mostly cloudy skies. Expect winds to shift, coming out of the northwest at 15-20 MPH, with gusts up to 20 MPH.

Tomorrow: We will catch a small break from precipitation throughout the day. Skies will remain mostly cloudy, with possible snow showers arriving late in the evening. Overall, a high of 33 degrees with winds remaining out of the northwest at 10-15 MPH, gusts up to 20 MPH.

Seven-Day Forecast: I hope you enjoyed the 60 degree days while you could! Temperatures for the next seven days are expected to stay well below average, bringing that winter feel back into the picture. A wintry system is expected to roll through the region on Thursday. There is still quite a bit of uncertainty with it. We are certain, though, that a mixture of freezing rain, ice, and snow will cause roadways to be hazardous. Be sure to stay updated on our Twitter or Facebook page as this system gets closer. Once the system clears out, look forward to a cold but dry week ahead!
