Outlet dance troupe prepares to defend AirJam title

MUNCIE, Ind. (NewsLink) -- Outlet is a hip-hop troupe that started in 2003 at Ball State University. The team was made as an outlet for students to get away from stress and schoolwork.

Outlet has been practicing and preparing its routine for Air Jam, coming up this Thursday. They said they willl practice two to three evenings a week from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The team said they are ready to defend their title at Air Jam once again. If they win that will make them grand champs for the tenth time in the row.

Air Jam is an annual dance and lip-sync competition that takes place during homecoming week. It gives other groups and organizations on campus a chance to come together and battle it out.

Outlet will take the stage Thursday at Emens Auditorium at 7:30 pm. You can purchase tickets for $15 at the box office at Emens Auditorium.
