Bracken Library evacuated its building at approximately 5 p.m. Sept. 5 with water seen outside the main doors.

Ball State tweeted Sept. 6 that Bracken Library will remain closed Sept. 7 due to an ongoing issue with a main water line. Greg Fallon, Ball State chief digital marketing and communications officer, said via email he hopes the library will be open by the end of the week.

Fallon said no library materials were damaged by the burst pipe, but the library is having cleaning completed for mud and water on the lower level.

Fallon said Ball State staff will continue to keep the campus community updated via the Communications Center and campus-wide emails.
