After being pushed online last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cardinal Job Fair returned in person for fall 2021.
This year, the Cardinal Job Fair was hosted at Worthen Arena Sept. 15, from 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
While the event was hosted in person, the Cardinal Job Fair required all attendees to wear masks to protect against the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We will follow the guidelines set forth by the university in the Cardinal Care Pledge,” said Jeff Eads, associate director of employer relations and recruitment programs. “This year's fair will feel very much like previous in-person fairs while maintaining appropriate precautions."
Eads said 140 employers registered for the fair, but numbers were lower than pre-pandemic fairs, “which were historically large in [the] number of employers."

Many students attended the fair dressed in their best professional attire with their portfolios in hand. Recruiters were pleased with the excitement students had for making connections.
Chaz Goble, a recruiter for Weidner Apartment Homes said, “It’s awesome to be back in person, there’s a lot more energy than there is being virtual.”
For those unable to attend the job fair this year, Eads encouraged students to take advantage of Cardinal Career Link.
"Cardinal Career Link is a great place to see internships and jobs that are currently available,” Eads said. “While on Cardinal Career Link, students can also explore additional resources that the Career Center offers, including career coaching, workshops, and resume reviews."

Azzarello was extinguished and rushed away by emergency services.
