Ball State President Geoffrey Mearns tests positive for COVID-19

Ball State President Geoffrey Mearns received a postive COVID-19 test result from a rapid-result PCR test, according to a Twitter statement from Ball State University issued 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

The statement said Mearns is experiencing no symptoms and quarantining with his wife, Jennifer Mearns, at their home.

"President Mearns is following CDC guidelines and all standard University protocols, including having completed the contact tracing process," the statement said.
