Failed ice cream store robbery

MUNCIE, Ind. (NewsLink)— A local Muncie store was broken into on Sunday night.

At 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, three women attempted to rob Ice Cream by Accident.

Ice Cream by Accident is owned by Terry Budaj. Budaj is very active in the community through volunteer work with the homeless shelter.

Budaj posted footage on Facebook of the three women breaking into her store. While only one entered and nothing was taken, Budaj is still asking the women to come forward without her pressing charges. Instead, she wants them to pay for a window that was broken.

Budaj, who has owned Ice Cream by Accident for over three years, said that the incident left her feeling shaken.

“I would say that a feeling of being violated is what it’s like,” Budaj said.

Budaj is hoping that the community can help her identify any of the women from the footage. Budaj said that the most identifying features were the “Salty Vibes” sweatshirt that one of the women were wearing and the bright shoes on another.
