Ball State’s Palilonis Wins MAC Faculty Award for Student Success

MUNCIE, Ind. (Newslink) -- Ball State professor Jennifer Palilonis has been recognized as the recipient of the 2020 MAC Faculty Award for Student Success.  Palilonis is now not only the first Cardinal to take home the award, but also the first recipient ever, as the award was introduced this year.

The professor was recognized in part for her work as the director of the Center for Emerging Media Design and Development at Ball State.  Palilonis has worked on project with the Indiana State Museum, The Professor Garfield Foundation, and USA Volleyball, where her students created a documentary on men and boy’s volleyball.  

Palilonis said on receiving the award, “I think everything that we do as a faculty is really about student success, so to be recognized for my work in that area I think is one of the highest honors in my career honestly.”
