MUNCIE, Ind. (NewsLink) -- As the fall semester was starting out, guidelines for preventing COVID-19 were placed around campus, including residence halls.
Hand sanitizing stations were spaced around in hallways, sanitizing wipes are on stands by the front desks and students must key into the hall they live in with their student IDs.
The common areas like computer labs, laundry rooms and gyms now have a limit on the amount of people allowed in the rooms. Cleaning for bathrooms and hang-out rooms is being done regularly.
"They have been doing a great job of keeping us all safe by posting different types of posters and different unavailable signs,” Ball State freshman Colin Williams said.
Some residence halls do have additional guidelines about social distancing and how many people are limited to each room.
Students received an email from the Housing and Residence Life Office at the beginning of the semester that explained how the residence halls are following the guidelines.
