According to a campus-wide email, road closures are expected Thursday in order to accommodate the peaceful march from Shafer Tower on Ball State's campus to Muncie City Hall.

The email states the closures will begin at approximately 4:45 p.m. Thursday along the route from McKinley Avenue to University Avenue to Wheeling Avenue to High Street to Muncie City Hall.

These temporary road closures include:

  • McKinley Avenue (from Petty Road/Neely Avenue to University Avenue)
  • University Avenue (until Wheeling Avenue)
  • Wheeling Avenue (from North High Street to City Hall)

Roads will open as the event progresses along the route. Road closures around City Hall are expected until the event concludes.

Additionally, Ball State will not be enforcing parking restrictions on campus, a Facebook post from the Office of Community Engagement states. Attendees may park in any lot with an open space.

It states the closest lots to Shafer Tower are the R2 parking lot on the south side of LaFollette Complex and the R5 parking lot outside of the Miller College of Business.
