Incumbent Rep. Greg Pence and Jeannine Lee Lake won the Republican and Democratic 2020 primary elections for the 6th Congressional District of the U.S. House of Representatives, according to the Associated Press.

Additionally Donald Trump and Joe Biden won the Republican and Democratic presidential primary elections in Indiana, according to the AP.

Voter turnout in the Delaware County primary elections stood at 22.84% with 18,706 voters turning out out of 81,907 registered voters in the county, according to official Delaware County primary election results.

Gary Addison, inspector at precinct 8 and 10, which was located at the Oakwood building, said he saw several Ball State students at the polls.

“I’ve been impressed by how many students are still in town and chose to come,” Addison said.

He added they were short on staff this year. Addison, with the help of two election clerks and one election judge, watched as different community members visited to vote. All election staff wore gloves and masks and face shields.
