The Federal Aviation Administration recently published a new proposal that would affect all unmanned aircraft systems, or UAS.
This proposal would force them to have some form of remote identification while flying.
A spokesman for the Academy of Model Aeronautics, says this new proposal is going to negatively affect thousands of drone owners and manufacturers.
These small manufacturers going out of business could cause the price of drones to rise, and potentially lead to a monopolization of the drone market.
This new proposal would also cause drone owners to have to pay a registration fee for each drone individually.
