Reports of shots fired are being investigated near the intersection of Riverside and New York Avenues.
At around 12:50 a.m. Saturday, Ball State Alerts sent out a campus-wide email stating Ball State's University Police Department along with the Muncie Police Department were investigating reports of shots fired in the area of Riverside and New York Avenues.
The alert advised people to stay clear of the area until 1:15 a.m. when a message was sent out advising no ongoing threat to campus.
