Several power outages are reported to have occurred north of Ball State and neighborhoods in north Muncie, according to Indiana Michigan Power's outage map.

The power outages were reported to have occurred a little after 2 p.m. Saturday with more than 1,700 power outages reported in the northern part of Ball State and the neighborhood immediately north of it, the map showed.

In north Muncie, the map showed over 1,200 power outages reported to have occurred.

As of 6 p.m. all power was restored, said Tracy Warner, a representative from I&M Power.

The cause of the outage is still being investigated, Warner said, adding I&M's priority was to change the feed to restore power.
