A new exhibition has premiered at the David Owsley Museum Of Art

MUNCIE, Ind. (NewsLink) —The David Owsley Museum of Art (DOMA) just released its newest exhibition titled “Recent Acquisitions: Connecting to the Past, Committing to the Future.”

This showcases art of African, Asian, North American, European and Oceanic regions. For over three years, these pieces have been collected to respectfully display the artistic heritage of the region, nation and world.

Recent acquisitions feature art from around the globe. Important art connected to past exhibitions will be displayed, such as masks, ritual objects and carved architectural elements. Modern American paintings and sculptures by artists like James Brooks, Marsden Hartley and Ruth Duckworth will also be displayed.

This exhibition was made with hopes to attract students from any area of study because of the wide variety of art and history it offers.

Robert LaFrance, director and curator of DOMA said, “I created this with the hope that current students as well as students of the future generations to come will have a place to study these revolutionary artists of these times.”

The exhibition will be on display from Sept. 19, through Dec. 20, 2019.
