While this day was started back in the 1930s as a way to help the Salvation Army, National Doughnut Day is still celebrated today.

Here’s five ways you can celebrate without breaking your budget:

Concannon’s Bakery Cafe

All day, everyone can get a doughnut for free. There also will be several deals on cookies, cakes and popcorn.

The first five customers will have the option to receive a tumbler, valued at $24.99, or get $24.99 worth of doughnuts.

Walmart

Every Walmart in America will be giving away free doughnuts to customers. A Walmart spokesperson said in a press release that Walmart is expected to give away 1.2 million doughnuts.

Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme will be offering one free doughnut per customer.

Dunkin’ Donuts

With the purchase of any beverage, Dunkin’ Donuts will be giving away a free doughnnut.
