INDOT closes lanes, Muncie residents should expect delays

The Indiana Department of Transportation has issued multiple notifications for lane and road closures and delays in the Muncie area for the next week. 

The closures effective from Friday to Monday are as follows:

  • The right lane of I-69 North and the entrance ramp from State Road 9, State Road 109 and Scatterfield Road will be closed at Exit 226.
  • The right lane of I-69 North will be closed near mile marker 227.
  • The right lane of I-69 South will be closed near mile marker 227.

Delays for Tuesday, Dec. 5, are as follows:

  • Construction workers will install new beams on the White River bridge. Drivers should expect delays on State Road 32, Jackson Street, as two cranes lift nine beams onto the bridge. Drivers should expect to be stopped for recurring periods of about 15 minutes at a time.
