An active weather pattern ahead

Muncie, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -

Today: Good afternoon everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! We started off with rain showers in the morning followed by a few breaks in the clouds, but the clouds have certainly returned this afternoon, and they will stick around for the rest of today. With the clouds keeping temperatures down, I don't think we'll quite get to the 60 degree mark this afternoon - we'll stick with a high of 59 this afternoon.

Tonight: Clouds will clear during the overnight hours, allowing temperatures to drop to a low of 46 degrees tonight. It'll be colder than that for the morning hours, so make sure to grab your jackets on the way out tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow: As I said earlier, make sure to grab your jackets on the way out the door tomorrow! We're looking at temperatures in the mid-40s to start off the day, but we'll warm-up quickly, up to a high of 62 tomorrow afternoon. Clouds will begin rolling into the region in the late morning hours, leaving us with partly cloudy skies for the rest of the day. Clouds will continue to build in, leaving us overcast going into the overnight hours.

7-Day Forecast: We may only see a few peeks of the sun in the next week, as we have a very active pattern across most of the US. Thunderstorms could be in the area on Thursday, bringing rain and lightning. A storm or two could be strong, so make sure to stay tuned for the latest forecasts, especially if a risk for severe weather will be introduced later in the week. We'll have a brief cooldown for the weekend, and we'll warm-up on Sunday, just to get more rain chances moving in on Monday.
