If you're looking to stay organized while giving your room a more personal feel, try these simple do-it-yourself projects.

DIY Dry Erase board

What you need:

    Photo frame of whatever size you desire
    Paint
    Paintbrush
    Plain paper
    Washi tape

What to do:

1. Cut the paper so it fits into the frame.

2. Paint a design onto the paper and let it dry.

3. Once dry, place the paper into the frame.

4. Decorate the frame border with washi tape.

DIY Pencil holder

What you need:

Cylinder container — you can recycle an old soup or vegetable can
Duct tape
Writing Utensils

What to do:

1. Decorate the container with duct tape.

2. Fill with writing utensils.

DIY Decorated Drawers

What you need:

Drawer storage unit
Duct tape

Instructions:

1. Decorate the drawer storage unit with duct tape.

2. Fill the drawer storage with school supplies or clothes.
