Five popsicle recipes to beat the heat

If the heat and humidity are bringing you down this summer and you're looking for a treat to cool down, try one of these popsicle recipes that you can make right at home. 

Strawberry lemonade popsicles

Ingredients:

12 ounce can frozen lemonade concentrate

16 ounces frozen strawberries

3 cups cold water

Directions:

Combine the lemonade and water in a pitcher and stir.

Put the strawberries in a blender and purée (you can put some lemonade in the blender to help with this).

Pour the puréed strawberries into the lemonade and stir.

Pour the mixture into molds and freeze.

Blueberry yogurt pops

Ingredients:

1 cup blueberry juice cocktail

1 cup blueberries

6 ounces vanilla yogurt

Directions:

Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

Once done, pour the mixture into molds and freeze.

Root beer float pops

Ingredients:

½ cup white sugar

¼ cup evaporated milk

4 cups root beer

Directions:

Put sugar and milk into a saucepan over medium heat and boil until the mixture is thick (takes about 12 minutes).

Remove from the heat and add in the root beer.

Pour mixture into molds and freeze.

Watermelon popsicles

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups diced watermelon without seeds

½ cup water

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon white sugar

Directions:

Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

Pour mixture into molds and freeze.

Nutella pops

Ingredients:

1 cup full cream milk

⅓ cup nutella

Directions:

Put the milk and nutella into a blender and blend until smooth

Pour the combined mixture into molds and freeze
