MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- We have had a rainy start to the work/school week. As of 10am we officially picked up 0.64 inches of rain since 5 pm yesterday. The rain is going to continue throughout most of the day today, and at sometimes it will be heavy. By the time 5pm Monday rolls around, we can expect closer to an inch of rain accumulation. There is the slight chance for a few rumbles of thunder in the afternoon, but we do not expect any severe weather. Overnight on Monday skies will start to clear a bit as high pressure starts to build in the area. This high pressure is going to be the theme for the entire week as spring like weather returns to the forecast. A ridge in the jet stream is going to allow for warm, southern area to make it’s way into our area. Throughout the entire week temperatures are going to climb from 50 on Tuesday to a high of 67 on Friday. As we make our way into the weekend, high temperatures will surpass 70 degrees and clear skies will continue. For more weather updates, make sure to follow us on Twitter @NLIWeather.
