One man is dead and a police officer is injured following a shooting at the 3900 block of East Jackson Street Friday night.
The police officer was taken to Ball Memorial Hospital, but the nature of the officer’s injury has not been released. Police are revealing little information, as the investigation is still ongoing, but could confirm the victim was 26 years old.
