Outdoor Pursuits, a Ball State organization that sets up trip programs for students, is trying to get more students involoved to travel the world.

Jessica Allardt, the assistant director of outdoor pursuits is encouraging students to go on a trip. They only have 15 trips a semester and would like to plan more. Ball state just recently had spring break and outdoor pursuits decided to go on a different kind of adventure.

“We tried something a little bit different this semester that we were really excited about, we offered a service project for one of our trips, we traveled to various locations in Alabama and Florida and worked with national forest and state parks” Allardt said.

By doing this they were able to fill up the trip and had students who were unable to sign up and were put on the waiting list. The organization will continue to do more trips like this in the future and recommends for students who are interested to learn more information by vising their website at www.bsu.edu/recreation .
