Peter Molyneux Twitter hacked, emphasizes he is not retiring

<p></p>

In what many thought was the finale in the spectacle that is Peter Molyneux’s career in the video game industry, the figure behind the Black & White and Fable franchises, he appeared to have announced his retirement from the gaming industry via Twitter as well as the removal of his latest game, Godus, on Steam.

Shortly after thanking everyone attached to Godus and attributing his latest failures in the industry to Fable 3, Molyneux’s account made yet another tweet in which he claimed to have been hacked and proceeded to debunk everything posted by the alleged hacker. This was later to be confirmed by Jack Attridge, the creative director for 22 Cans, the developers of Godus. The tweets in their entirety can be found below.

As to who hacked Molyneux’s account, nobody has come forth claiming responsibility, however it doesn’t take a detective to figure out why someone would target Molyneux and Godus, as both the developer and game have been plagued with negative press for the past few years for various reasons.
