A brand new legendary Pokémon, named Magiana, was revealed Wednesday from Japanese magazine CoroCoro. According to Serebii, who uploaded scans of the magazine to its site, Magiana is a "man-made" Pokémon that was "made from human hands." The Pokémon is said to be over 500 years old, which is interesting to note considering Magiana looks quite futuristic. The typing is currently unknown, though it is said to be metallic.

Magiana is being released alongside the upcoming movie called Volcanion and the Ingenious Magiana (translation courtesy of Serebii.net). The movie is slated to be released in Japanese theaters in July. It’s currently unknown when Magiana will make its debut in the games and be made available after its theatrical debut.

The translated summary of the movie, according to Serebii.net is as follows:

"As Ash and his friends continue their journey, Volcanion drops down from the sky in front of them. Volcanion's object is to recover Magiana, who has been abducted by the "Azoth Kingdom", a city of super-machinery. However, Volcanion and Ash have become linked together by a strange chain. Will the two of them manage to work together and save Magiana?"

Volcanion was the most recent legendary before Magiana, and was only discovered after players managed to data mine Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. The Pokémon Company officially unveiled Volcanion back in December, though it’s still not officially available to players to add to their Pokédexes. Magiana, on the other hand, hasn’t been found in game files in any current Pokémon game. There are suspicions that with no current files to be found that Magiana will be a legendary included in a new Pokémon game.
