Indiana gas prices lowest in the country

Indianapolis had the cheapest gas prices in the nation on Monday morning, with a Circle K selling regular gas at $1.68 per gallon. Then, later in the afternoon, a Sam's Club gas station began selling gas at $1.50 per gallon. The state of Indiana has been a top contender nation-wide for cheap gas as crude oil prices have continued to drop.

According to the American Automobile Association (AAA) more than half of the gas stations in the country are selling gas at less than $2 per gallon.

Some gas stations in Muncie are selling gas as low as $1.75 per gallon, 5 cents below the state average. For Ball State students traveling home for the holiday break, the decline in gas prices couldn't have come at a better time.
