The release date for Telltale's latest episodic adventure game has finally been revealed. Minecraft: Story Mode will be released on Oct. 13, so players won't have to wait long to get their next Telltale fix. The game will be available in digital form for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Mac, PC, Android, and iOS platforms.
Minecraft: Story Mode is also getting a physical release on consoles, as well. The physical version will be available to purchase on Oct. 27. Physical copies of the game will include a season pass disc that will give players access to all of the episodes as they come out.
The game will combine the creative gameplay of Minecraft with Telltale's signature choice-based narrative storytelling. Players will take on the role of Jesse, and players can choose between a male or female protagonist. A trailer from this year's Minecon event showed some of the characters players will meet and also sheds a bit of light on the story of the game.
