Muncie Gras expected to attract 8,000 people

Muncie Gras was first celebrated 14 years ago as development downtown began to thrive.

An expected 8,000 people will be in attendance on Saturday, and five new attractions will be available.

Muncie's event planner Cheryl Crowder spends three months every year planning for this day.

"The community breathes life back into downtown," Crowder said. "We've just kind of gone with that."

The event will begin this Saturday, March 28, at 7 p.m.
