More than 5 percent of Delaware County doesn’t have power currently, according to Indiana Michigan Power’s outage map.
Tracy Warner, media contact for IMP, said there was an equipment failure at one of their substations.
“We’ll be switching consumers to other substations and we expect to be up at 4 p.m.,” Warner said.
The outage also cut out some traffic signals, according to the Muncie Department of Public Works.
