Multi-platinum rock group The Fray will play tonight at John R. Emens Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
Following the success of previous singles “Over My Head (Cable Car)”, “How to Save a Life” and “You Found Me”, the band is on tour again to promote their latest album Helios.
Lead single “Love Don’t Die” has already been certified Gold by the RIAA and was picked up for use in Samsung’s Gear Fit commercial.
Opening for The Fray is southern California alt-rock band The Mowgli’s, who gained notoriety in 2012 when the San Francisco Giants picked up their track “San Francisco” for use during their games.
Following their performances at the 2014 Hollister House Party, the band has joined The Fray during the summer portion of their tour. With support from late night talk show host Jay Leno, The Mowgli’s released their first major record this year, Waiting for the Dawn, through Island Records.
Frontman Isaac Slade, along with lead guitarist Dave Welsh, rhythm guitarist, backup vocalist and co-founder Joe King and drummer Ben Wysocki have been charting since 2005 with the release of their widely popular first single “Over My Head (Cable Car)”. Yet it was “How to Save a Life”, the band’s first international hit that rose them to stardom, as the song charted in the top five in the United States, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
Following their Muncie performance, The Fray will continue their tour in South Africa, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
