The Ball State women’s golf team shot 614 through the first two rounds to finish day one of the Redbird Invitational in third place.

Ball State shot 307 in both rounds of the invite, leaving the team three shots behind host Illinois State for second place.

Sophomore Allison Lindley leads the Cardinals, shooting 151, or seven over par, good for a seventh place tie individually. Behind Lindley, freshman Kayla Adamson finished tied for 14th, while freshman Mary Ellen Romero tied for 18th.

Romero is playing as an individual.

Ball State will be paired with Illinois State and Eastern Kentucky tomorrow for the invite's final round.
