Led by senior McCormick Clouser, the Ball State men's golf team placed eighth at the Northern Intercollegiate in Sugar Hill, Ill.

Clouser finished the tournament strong, shooting a two under par round of 70, tying for fourth place individually. The two-time letter winner shot two over par for the weekend.

Though the Cardinals finished eighth out of 13 teams, Ball State head coach Mike Fleck said he thought his golfers played well.

“We will take it one day at a time, one week at a time,” Fleck said. “Time to come home and evaluate.”

The Cardinals return to action on Sept. 20, when the team travels to Zionsville, Ind., to compete in the Wolf Run Golf Club.
